Privacy Policy

Who we are

Altushka Studio is run by Georgij Korovin, an individual based in the Czech Republic (Petržílkova 1436/35, 158 00 Prague, Czechia). I'm the data controller for everything described here. For anything privacy-related — questions, requests, complaints — email support@altushkastudio.com.

What this covers

This policy covers the altushkastudio.com website, the free Altushka Builder desktop app, the optional email newsletter, and the optional community hosted on Discord. Here's the whole story, including the things we deliberately don't do.

What we don't do

No accounts, no logins, no ads, no cross-site tracking, no selling of personal information, no profiling, no automated decisions with legal or similar effects. We never ask for sensitive personal information — please don't include it in support messages or community posts. The website sets no advertising or tracking cookies and uses no browser storage — the analytics we do use is cookieless (see below); Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie when protecting the site from abuse. The desktop app has no telemetry and no third-party analytics; Unity's built-in analytics are turned off in our builds. Your builds, presets, and settings stay in files on your own computer — deleting the app's data folder removes them completely.

What we collect, and why

Visiting the website

Like any website, each page you load is a web request that includes your IP address and browser details. Our host, Cloudflare, processes this to deliver the pages and keep the site secure (legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a working, safe website). We keep no server logs of our own. Cloudflare may process limited technical data for its own security and network purposes under its privacy policy.

Site analytics

We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-focused, EU-hosted service, to understand aggregate site usage — pages viewed, referrers, browser and country breakdowns, and a handful of events like "download clicked" or "newsletter confirmed" (legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding whether the site works). Plausible uses no cookies and no persistent identifiers, doesn't store raw IP addresses, and we never see data about an identifiable person — only aggregate statistics. We never put email addresses, names, or anything you type into analytics. We do not intentionally collect GPS or precise location data; country-level figures are derived from the request IP and then discarded. See Plausible's data policy.

The newsletter (optional)

If you subscribe, we process your email address, your consent record (when and how you signed up), your double-opt-in confirmation, and your subscription status. MailerLite (EU-hosted) stores the list, sends the emails, and processes the technical information needed to deliver them. We keep email open tracking switched off. We send release news, new asset drops, and development updates (legal basis: your consent). Every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing works immediately — withdrawing consent is that one click. We never add anyone to the list who didn't sign up themselves: joining the Discord community, emailing support, or downloading the app does not subscribe you to anything.

Emailing support

Write to support@altushkastudio.com and we'll see your email address and whatever you include in your message — used only to reply and resolve your question (legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering you; where your question is about obtaining the app or a feature, pre-contractual steps). The mailbox runs on Google Workspace. Support correspondence is deleted no later than one year after your question is resolved, subject to the provider's standard backup cycles. It's never used for marketing.

The Discord community (optional)

Our community is hosted by Discord, a separate platform. Discord is itself the controller for your Discord account and the platform's own processing — its privacy policy applies when you join. As the community's operator, we can see what you choose to make visible there — display name, profile picture, posts, comments, and messages you send us — and we use that only to run, moderate, and secure the community (legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating it, and the community rules you accept when joining).

Using the desktop app

The app currently uses the network for only two things: fetching parts from our asset catalog, and a lightweight update check at startup. Both are normal web requests to our Cloudflare-hosted CDN that include your IP address, used only to deliver the files (legal basis: providing the service you're asking for). Fetched parts are cached locally so repeat use works offline. The app sends no usage telemetry, no crash reports, and no identifiers beyond the technical information present in an ordinary web request.

Who processes data for us

We disclose personal data only to the providers needed to operate these services, under their applicable terms and, where relevant, data processing agreements. Some providers also act as controllers for their own account, security, or service-administration data under their own privacy notices. None of them may use your data for their own advertising on our behalf:

• Cloudflare — website and asset hosting, CDN, security (DPA)
• Plausible Analytics — aggregate site analytics, hosted in Germany (DPA)
• MailerLite — newsletter list and delivery, hosted in the Netherlands (DPA)
• Google (Google Workspace) — the support email mailbox (DPA)
• Discord — community hosting; also an independent controller for your Discord account (privacy policy)

We could also be required to disclose information where the law demands it (legal basis: legal obligation) — it hasn't happened, and there's very little to disclose.

Where data lives

Plausible visitor data is processed and stored in the EU. MailerLite stores subscriber data in the Netherlands. Cloudflare, Google, Discord, and some of their subprocessors may process information outside the EEA. Where a restricted international transfer occurs, the relevant provider relies on an applicable adequacy decision, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the recipient is certified, the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, or another lawful safeguard described in its terms, linked above.

How long we keep things

• Newsletter: your email stays on the list while you're subscribed. When you unsubscribe, it's removed from all mailing; a minimal suppression record remains so we don't accidentally email you again.
• Support email: deleted no later than one year after your question is resolved, subject to provider backup and legal retention.
• Analytics: aggregate statistics only, retained under our Plausible plan settings and deleted when no longer needed; no personal data is retained.
• Website requests: we keep no logs of our own; Cloudflare processes request and security data only as necessary for delivery and protection, under its own retention settings.
• Community content: lives on Discord while present in the community, under Discord's retention controls; moderation records only as long as needed to run the community.

Younger users

Altushka Builder is a general-audience creative tool, and many Roblox creators are young — that's fine. The public website and desktop app don't require an account and never ask for a date of birth, although the limited technical request data described above is processed when they connect to our servers. The newsletter is intended for people aged 16 or older, and we don't knowingly collect newsletter signups from anyone under 16 — we ask you to confirm your age in the signup wording instead of collecting your birth date. If you're a parent or guardian and believe a child has given us personal information, email support@altushkastudio.com and we'll delete it.

Your rights

If you're in the EU/UK (and in many other places, including several US states), you can ask us to access, correct, delete, or export the data we hold about you, restrict or object to processing, and withdraw any consent — without any downside for exercising these rights. Email support@altushkastudio.com and we'll act on it; the same address handles appeals if you disagree with our answer. In practice, the data we could hold about you is: a newsletter address, a support thread, and what you've posted in the community.

You can also complain to a supervisory authority. Ours is the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (ÚOOÚ) — uoou.gov.cz — but you can contact your own country's authority instead.

Do Not Track

Browsers can send Do-Not-Track signals, but there's no uniform standard for interpreting them, so we don't respond to them. We don't sell personal information or do cross-site tracking in the first place, and our analytics runs without cookies or persistent identifiers. If our processing ever changes in a way that makes legally required opt-out signals applicable, we'll honor them.

Changes

If what we do with data changes — for example, if a future version of the app adds something new — we'll update this page and the date at the top, and where required give prominent notice before a material change takes effect. For material changes affecting the desktop app, the app itself will ask you to review and accept the updated terms before they apply.
