Altushka Builder 0.1.0 is out

Update, August 17, 2026: Two lines below were corrected — the macOS signing wording (Apple issues the certificate and notarizes the result; the signing itself is mine), and the Roblox round trip, which brings a model back as one merged part rather than as your original editable assembly. Everything else is as published.

It’s here. Altushka Builder 0.1.0 is out, for macOS and Windows, free, no account needed. Grab it on the download page.

The macOS build is signed with an Apple-issued Developer ID certificate and notarized by Apple, so it avoids the standard “unidentified developer” warning. The Windows build ships unsigned for now — SmartScreen may grumble once, click “More info” then “Run anyway”.

A lot landed in the final stretch since the last post, so here’s what you’re actually getting on day one:

  • Import your own models. Drop your own .glb parts into a personal library and build with them next to the official ones. They stay on your machine — the app never uploads them anywhere.
  • Import your own faces. Six built-in faces, each in a whole stack of colorways — and now you can bring your own face art too.
  • Round trip with Roblox. Export a model from Roblox Studio and bring it into the Builder — it arrives as one merged part you can keep building around. To take a build apart piece by piece, open its .altushka preset.
  • Axis locks. Lock any position, rotation, or scale axis so a part you seated flush stays flush while you work on everything around it. Together with snapping and mirroring, this is the feature the whole app is built around: pieces that actually sit against each other.
  • One-click Studio setup. Import the .glb, then either paste the generated setup script or press Assemble Pet in the bundled companion plugin — welded model, named MeshParts, face applied.

If something breaks, tell me — that’s what the community is for. Go build something.
